Flow regulating valve with input and output pressure measurers

A flow regulating system has a valve (10) located in a flow line with an opening varied to maintain a required flow. The valve opening is monitored (18), together with the pressure drop across the valve (22,26). The transducer signals are multiplexed (30) and are converted to digital force (32) to supply a microcomputer (34). The microcomputer compares the processed paramet parameters with values stored in a memory. This provides a correcting command to the actuator (16) of the valve to achieve a specific flow rate. A correction stage (42) allows the values to be changed for different fluids.
