PURPOSE:To obtain an organic coloring matter recording layer having excellent heat and light stability and improved in deterioration upon reproduction, by incorporating a specified compound into a recording layer of an optical information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer comprising at least one cyanine coloring matter selected from the compounds of formulas I-IV is provided on a substrate, and if required, an under coat layer is provided between the substrate and the recording layer, or a protective layer is provided on the recording layer. ln the formulas, each of R1, R2, R5 and R6 is a 1-12C substd. or unsubstd. alkyl or hydrogen, R3 is a 1-12C alkyl, each of R4 and R7 is a 1-12C alkyl, alkoxyl, hydroxyl, halogen or hydrogen, A is a 1-6C alkyl, alkoxyl, dialkylamino, carboxylic acid ester group, halogen or cyano, each if Z1 and Z2 is an atomic group necessary for completing a heterocyclic ring condensed with a substd. or unsubstd. aromatic ring, Z3 is an atomic group necessary for completing a 5- or 6-membered carbon ring, each of l and m is 0 or 1, and X is an acid anion. |
