PURPOSE:To make unnecessary an addition at 16 bits by setting the coefficients of two coefficient multipliers so that the coefficients of the two coefficient multipliers may be positive, their sum may be '1' whenever a video signal is inputted, and the respective inputted video signals may be multiplied by a weight determined beforehand when all integrations are completed. CONSTITUTION:When an input picture and an integration value until such a time fetched by a picture memory 106 are both at 8 bits, by multiplying the positive coefficients, whose sum is at '1', and by adding the obtained value to the former values by an adder 105, an addition result does not exceed 8 bits. There, as the coefficient to satisfy the said condition, the i-th coefficient is set at 1/i with respect to the input video signal, and the coefficient is set at 1-1/i=(i-1)/i with respect to the integration value up to an (i-1)-th time, the value of 1/M times is obtained with respect to the addition for totally M times, and the (i) is made unrelated. That is, the all input video signals are multipled and added by the same weight 1/M by means of coefficient multipliers 103 and 104. Thus, the simple mean value of the whole signals can be obtained as the integration value for the memory consisting of one picture element at 8 bits. |
