The present invention relates to a machine for mixing and crushing animal feed, comprising a chamber 1 having at least one opening 13, 14 permitting the introduction of the feed into the chamber, characterised in that it includes: a) a first series of Archimedian screws 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, which are parallel and revolving, whose axes are located substantially in the same horizontal plane P1 arranged at the bottom of the chamber, b) grinding members 30, 31 arranged in the said end zone downstream of the screws, known as the grinding zone; c) a second series of Archimedian screws 50a, 50b, 50c, 50d, which are parallel and revolving, whose axes are located substantially in the same plane P2 which forms an acute angle u with the vertical; the arrangement being such that the feed entrained by the first series of screws and originating from the grinding zone is transported by the said second series of Archimedian screws and falls onto the screws making up the first series so as to be transported back again towards the grinding zone, this producing a cycle of mixing and of grinding of the feed. <IMAGE>
