<p>A drug composition of the invention contains 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of a low molecular weight chitosan per part of a difficultly soluble drug. This drug composition is improved in the solubility of the difficultly soluble drug in water and the dissolution rate of the drug into water. As the low molecular weight chitosan, water-soluble chitosan having a weight-average molecular weight of 500 to 50 x 103 is used. This drug composition is prepared by mixing the low molecular weight chitosan with a difficultly soluble drug in such a manner that the chitosan is homogeneously dispersed in the drug. The drug composition can be utilized either as such in granular form or in various forms according to various preparatory methods as medicines and other drug compositions containing a difficultly soluble drug which can be absorbed in the living organism readily in an increased amount.</p> |
