PURPOSE:To provide a data transmission device capable of obtaining desired information data in a terminal equipment in shorter waiting time as a whole. CONSTITUTION:Polling modem 13 in a center 3 receives a response signal transmitted from the terminal equipment 5 and a data transmission control part 15 transmits information data to the terminal equipment 5 based on the response signal (polling system). The center 3 sequentially and cyclically transmits only data where a loop flag is set among information data stored in a storage device 19 to the terminal equipment 5 (incontinent system). For acquiring information data which a user desires, a control part 41 on a terminal equipment 5-side selects a system having shorter wait time for acquisition between the systems and controls the equipment to execute an acquisition operation by using it.
