Process for imparting impermeability to structures made of binders comprising natural or residual anhydrite as main component. A water-soluble phenol-formaldehyde resin employed in the form of a homogeneous aqueous solution with a solids content of 30 to 60 % is added to the binder during its manufacture or its use, the resin solution being employed in a proportion of 0.2 to 1 % and preferably 0.4 to 0.6 %, this proportion being calculated as mass of solids content in relation to the total mass of the binder. Slaked lime is also added to the binder in a proportion of 2 to 10 % of the total mass of the binder.
