TIME MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To adjust a clocking value a management target apparatus to a value of the compensated delay time of propagation so as to enable the management apparatus to confirm and maintain it by operating the delay time of propagation through transmission of a test signal to a communication network and through its reception by a management target apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When a first test signal is transmitted to a communication network 7, a management target apparatus 8 receives this test signal and feeds back a first response signal to a management apparatus. The management apparatus l operates the delay time of propagation with a time from transmission to reception of the first test signal. Successively, the management apparatus l transmits a second test signal including a clocking value of a reference clock SC to the communication network 7. When receiving this second test signal, the management target apparatus 8 corrects its own clock C clocking value according to this received clocking value and feeds back a corrected clocking value to the management apparatus 1 as a second response signal. The management apparatus 1 operates a delay time of propagation and a time required for correction by means of a time from transmission of the first test signal to reception of the second response signal.
