PURPOSE:To obtain a proper reproduction picture from processed data transferred to a storage device by excluding a succeeding field or frame from a transfer object when the capacity of processed data per one field or one frame exceeds a transfer reference capacity. CONSTITUTION:A transfer reference capacity for compression processed data per one field is set to picture data processing means 2,3 by a command from a control means 1. When the capacity of processed data per one field actually exceeds the transfer reference capacity, data corresponding to 16 frames are stored in data buffers 2d,3d while excluding succeeding fields or frames equivalent to the excess capacity. The compressed data are outputted to a VME bus 6 and DMA-transferred to a magnetic disk storage device 7 via the control means 1. |
