PURPOSE:To adopt the TTL dimmer system even in an electronic still camera by providing a reflecting member to an upper side of a non-photosensing section of the solid-state image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:A solid-state image pickup element (CCD) on a semiconductor substrate is provided with a photosensing section (charge storage section) 1 storing charges generated through light reception and a non-photosensing section (vertical charge transfer section) 2 not storing charges even when light is received. Then, a reflecting member W is arranged to an upper side of the vertical charge transfer section 2 being the non-photosensing section of the CCD. Thus, the aperture efficiency of the CCD is not decreased. Furthermore, for example, when the light receiving area of the CCD is large, the area is decreased and when the light receiving area of the CCD is small, the area is increased to set freely a reflecting of the CCD. |
