PURPOSE: To enable a temperature control on the contact surface of a probe to be attained in which both cooling and heating operations are accomplished through a Joule-Thomson effect. CONSTITUTION: There is provided an apparatus for realizing a controlled temperature change at a contact surface, wherein this apparatus comprises a probe 4 suitable for realizing a fast temperature change at the contact surface; temperature generating means 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25 connected to the probe 4 and capable of realizing a low temperature at the contact surface of the probe 4 and a temperature more than 0 deg.C; and a processing means CPU for controlling a temperature generating means in response to a preceding operating state. |
