PURPOSE: To provide a video conference system provided with a simplification processing section in which an image of a conference participant having no recognition is clearly distinguished from an image of a conference participant having the recognition without impairing the image according to conference control information. CONSTITUTION: Upon the receipt of the word permission signal as a conference control signal from a communication line 107 by a conference control signal input section 108, a control section 110 outputs a simplifying stop instruction to an image processing section 105. The image processing section 105 receiving the instruction outputs image data received by an image input device 101 to a communication interface section 106 as it is. Upon the receipt of the word end signal as a conference control signal by the conference control signal input section 108, the control section 110 outputs a simplify execution instruction to the image processing section 105. The image processing section 105 receiving the instruction applies simplify processing to image data received by the image input device 101 and expanded in the image memory 104. |
