OPTICAL DISK AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To provide an optical disk excellent in productivity without causing as deterioration in mechanical characteristics of a light-transmitting substrate in the production process, and to provide a production method to efficiently obtain this optical disk with a simple equipment. CONSTITUTION:A dry photosetting film 2 in an unhardened state is formed on a light-transmitting substrate 1. The viscosity of this dry photosetting film at room temp. in an unhardened state is lower than that of the light-transmitting substrate at room temp. Then pits 4 are press formed in the dry photosetting film 2 at room temp. Then a protective film 3 with a reflection film is adhered under pressure to the unhardened dry photosetting film 2, and the dry photosetting film 2 is irradiated with UV rays to harden the dry photosetting film 2 to obtain an optical disk.
