PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal recording material capable of forming and erasing an image in good contrast, capable of holding an image stable with the elapse of time not only under environment of dairy life but also under a heating condition and excellent in sensitivity and repeating durability. CONSTITUTION:In a reversible thermal recording material wherein a reversible thermal layer based on a usually colorless or lightcolored dye precursor and a reversible coupler causing a reversible color change in the dye precursor by the difference in cooling speed after heating is provided on a support, an amphoteric compd. having a basic group and an acidic group is added to the reversible thermal layer. |
