REFLECTION PREVENTING FILM, ITS PRODUCTION AND POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an reflection preventing film having both of reflection preventing property and hard performance so that reflection of light on interfaces between inner layers can be reduced and to provide its production method and a polarizing plate and liquid crystal display device using this antireflection film. CONSTITUTION:A low refractive index layer 13 as the surface layer is formed on a transparent substrate film 11 with other layers interposed. At least one of other layers is a high refractive index hard coating layer 12 of >=0.5mum thickness essentially comprising a resin. This high refractive index hard coating layer 12 is directly in contact with the low refractive index layer 13. The refractive index of the high refractive index hard coating layer 12 is higher than the refractive index of the layer in contact with the opposite side to the low refractive index layer 13 side. This reflection preventing film is used for a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device by laminating.
