PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoder, an encoder and a VOD(video-on-demand) system using these, capable of executing the synchronization correction of the reproducing timing of a video signal and an audio signal, without adjusting the reproducing timing of the video signal and without temporarily changing the reproduction speed of the audio signal by inserting the audio encoded data of a silent level or stopping the supply of the data. SOLUTION: A silent level detecting part 215 detects audio encoded data of silent level, and a silent level data storing part 216 stores audio encoded data of the silent level. Then at the time of delaying the audio signal, the supply of audio encoded data of the silent level to an audio decoder 206 is stopped and on the other hand, when the audio encoded signal is conducted first audio encoded data of the silent level of the part 216 is inserted for executing audio/ video synchronization processing. |
