摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic focus detector using a two-dimensional sensor constituted so that the space of a sensor for photometry is reduced because the sensor for photometry need not be additionally arranged by obtaining photometry data from the two-dimensional sensor having a wide range-finding area and a control action being the best for executing a focus detecting action and a photometry action can be executed by controlling the focus detecting action and the data obtaining action of object luminance according to conditions. SOLUTION: An object image is formed on a pair of photoelectric conversion elements 8 through a photographing lens 1, a visual field mask 2, a condenser lens 3 and an image reforming lens 4. Then, accumulated quantity is monitored by a monitor means 20. When the accumulated quantity becomes the prescribed quantity, an accumulating action and the counting action of an accumulation time are finished. By controlling a first and a second transfer means 10 and 12 by a system control circuit 14, the data of an A/D converter 9 is transferred to an arithmetic means for focus deviation amount 11 and an arithmetic means for object luminance 13. Then, arithmetically operated focus deviation amount and arithmetically operated object luminance are inputted to the control circuit 14 and prescribed processing is executed.
