The gas-tight and pressure-resisting stopper is for a bottle of Sekt or other sparkling wine. The stopper is made of plastics material and fits tightly in the neck of the bottle. The stopper may consist of a hollow cylinder made of plastics material. The stopper may be driven into the neck of the bottle and then expanded by fitting a cap which is watertight and gas-tight.
