PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel density converter which drastically reduces a time till image formation with minimum memory and continuously outputs. SOLUTION: M pieces of line memory which respectively store line data one line each store line data of a 1st pixel density. A 1st converting means 6 ORes at least one set of line data of optionally adjacent positions among these M line data and converts them into N line data. Next, the N line data are successively stored in memory. Next, a 2nd converting means 8 ORes between adjacent pixels of at least one set with line data of each line of the N line data stored in the memory as pixel density conversion of data in a horizontal scanning direction, coverts them into pixel density in the ratio of N/M and M are integers and N/M<1) and make the memory store line data that undergoes pixel density conversion. |
