PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dip type photoengraving method for a silver salt planographic printing plate which can use processing liquid for a long period while reducing the use amount and waste amount of the processing liquid. SOLUTION: When the silver salt planographic printing plate is dipped in a developing tank and a stabilizing tank in order and photoengraved, the respective processing tanks are replenished with thick processing liquid for each planographic printing plate 1 and the amount of processing liquid in each processing tank is held constant. At this time the concentration of the replenishing thick developer is 140 to 220% and the concentration of density stabilizing liquid is 100 to 200%.
