FIELD: stop valves, for example, cocks with a spherical stop member and body lining, applicable for control and shut-off of flows of aggressive working fluid conveyed through a pipe line. SUBSTANCE: the ball cock has a body accommodating a spherical plug. The spherical plug is linked with a rotary rod, the body lining, seats, rod seal and the rotary rod retainer are made as a unit of composite material. The lining is furnished with a thread. At least one part of the body inner surface, engageable with the lining, is made flat or at least with one groove. The method for manufacture of the ball cock consists in manufacture of metal blanks of the body, spherical plug and rod. The spherical plug and rod are subjected to machining. Holes for the rod, rod turning retainer and a pilot hole for potting are made in the body blank. Then the parts are placed in a mould, their position is fixed by means of preliminary manufactured inserts with a thread and potting of composite material is accomplished in a potting machine. After the body blank with cock parts is placed in the mould before potting the mould is installed under press, and the body is manufactured by moulding. EFFECT: enhanced leak-proofness of cock joint to the lining accomplished in the same machining attachments. 10 cl, 9 dwg |
