PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide rankings of the number of times of calls with a small load, and display its results. SOLUTION: This telephone set has an EEPROM 59 having, e.g. a telephone directory information table to which a plurality of telephone numbers are registered and specified a range to generate a call ranking in the telephone directory information table and counts the number of calls corresponding to a telephone number in the specified range in the case of detecting a call. Then the telephone set gives call ranking information to the telephone number in the specified range and provides an output of the ranking result.
