A combustion chamber (20) is formed at the center of a double spiral (50,55) arranged so that the exhaust gas passes outwards through gaps (55) to exhaust vent (26). The walls that form this gap could be coated with catalytic material to destroy any toxic products of combustion. Water passes from pipe (21), through a row of holes (22) for good distribution into the gap (50) and to the outlet pipe (25). There is therefore a single wall separating gas and water flows for heat transfer.
