摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain optical characteristics showing high light fastness and having a proper double refractive index within a laser beam wavelength region by providing a light absorbing layer based on a metal phthalocyanine compd. on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A light absorbing layer based on a metal phthalocyanine compd. represented by formula (wherein M is Mn, Fe, Co, Zn or Cd, X<1>, <2>, X<3> and X<4> are a halogen atom, either one of A<1> and A<2>, A<3> and A<4>, A<5> and A<6> and A<7> and A<8> is an-OR group or an-SR group and the other one of them is a hydrogen atom, R is especially pref. a group containing an N-atom in a heterocyclic ring and k, l, m and n are an integer of 0-2) is provided on a substrate. In this constitution, the molecular association of the phthalocyanine compd. in such a state that the light absorbing layer is made thin can be suppressed and it is avoided that a light absorption spectrum becomes broad and a proper double refractive index can be obtained in the vicinity of a laser beam wavelength.
