摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical disk device utilizing the same so as to exclude coma aberration generated by a beam splitter without shifting of an optical axis in a return light beam from the beam splitter consiting of parallel flat plates. SOLUTION: An optical pickup and an optical disk device comprise an optical converging means to converge light beams emitted from a light source on a signal recording surface of an optical disk rotatively driven, a beam splitter 22 comprising parallel flat plates as an optical separation means arranged aslant between the light source and the optical converging means, and a photodetector 26 having a light receiving part to receive a return light beam from the signal recording surface of an optical disk separated by the beam splitter; and an optical lense 25 is arranged so that the return light beams may converge on the light receiving surface of the photodetector on an extension of the optical axis of the return light beam from the beam splitter being inclined to the optical axis and shifting in the vertical direction to the optical axis between the beam splitter and the photodetector.
