PURPOSE:To make an unburned AG plate high in durability by the means for improving its oxidation resistance and preventing deterioration in its strength in an imtermediate temp. range. CONSTITUTION:A plate for an alumina carbonaceous slide gate (an AG plate) is added with 0.5 to 10wt.% boron-modified phenol resin contg. 10 to 50wt.% B as a binder, and subjected to kneading, compacting and drying to impart high corrosion resistance thereto. By using boron-modified phenol resin, its oxidation resistance is improved to improve the durability. |
