PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a driving system for a CD(compact disk) and an MD(mini-disk) in common. SOLUTION: A turntable 20 to be attached to a spindle motor shaft 14 is formed in the size capable of placing a housing disk such as the mini-disk. Therefor, the mini-disk is rotatably driven as heretofore by using this turntable. On the other hand, when a chucking cap 70 and a chucking magnet (outside magnet) 40 are provided freely slidably around the motor shaft and a bare disk such as the compact disk is used, the bare disk is chucked by sliding them in the direction of motor shaft. Thus, the compact disk is rotatably driven by utilizing the same spindle motor shaft. An optical pickup means is used in common. In this way, the driving system is used in common even for the disks different in shape.
