PURPOSE:To easily take out the transfer paper located at the part of a branching claw of a paper discharging part without damaging the transfer paper when the paper stuffing is generated in forming the both sides image. CONSTITUTION:Power supply to a motor 44 to drive the carrying system is stopped when the paper stuffing of the transfer paper is detected by sensors 28, 29, 32, 38, 39, 40 which are respectively arranged on the carrying passage. The carrying system continues to slightly carry the transfer paper by the inertia force, and a control means 50 keeps the ON-condition of a solenoid 4 to switch the turning position of a branches claw 2 for the prescribed period of time so that the branching claw 2 may be turned to the second position side as indicated by the assumed line while the transfer paper is carried. Thus, the transfer paper is stopped facing the both sides unit 6 side where the transfer paper can be easily taken out, and the transfer paper located at the part of the branching claw 2 can be easily taken out. |
