PURPOSE:To provide a versatile sheet stacking device which can sense different sizes of sheets of paper at a low cost using a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:A frame accommodates an accommodation level 28 movably to/from the fitting position where the sheets stacked on a sheet plating plate 6 can be fed, and the vessel 28 is fixed with a tail restricting plate 31 and side restricting plates 29, 30 which are movable for restricting the ends of the sheets stacked on the sheet placing plate 6 according to the sheet size. The arrangement further includes a sensor lever unit 34, selectively displaced between the operation possible position and the operation impossible position according to the restricting position of at least one of the restricting plates 31 and 29/30 and a size sensing unit 35 which is installed on/in the frame and can sense the sheet size. When the vessel 28 is moved to the fitting position of the frame, an intermittent operation switching the unit 35 is selectively actuated according to the displacement of the lever of unit 34. |
