PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic plate and tag which make display contents easily readable as well as a method for manufacturing the same and an apparatus for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: This metallic plate for the tag has a metallic plate (iron, etc.), 2 and projecting parts 3 which are formed on the surface of the metallic plate and display the information, such as characters and figures, and is provided with a through-hole 4 on one side of the metallic plate, thereby, the tag having a latching part (wire, etc.), inserted into the hole can be made. According to this tag, an erroneous recognition and mis-operation of the display contents in work after a coating process step and plating process step can be prevented. Further, according to the apparatus for manufacturing this metallic plate, the easy and continuous production thereof is possible and the distinct reading of the display of the information, such as the characters and figures, is possible as well.
