PURPOSE:To provide a secondary battery excellent in charge and discharge cycle life and in high-temperature preservation characteristic by constructing the secondary battery of a negative electrode in which Nb2O5 storing Li is used as active material, a positive electrode which uses Li2MnO3 as active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Active material powders of Li2MnO3, carbon black serving as a conductive agent, and a fluororesin dispersion serving as a binding agent are mixed in a weight ratio of 88:6:6 to obtain a positive mix. The positive mix is pressed into a pellet and molded, and then dried to obtain a positive electrode 4. Nb2O5 powders, carbon black serving as a conductive agent, and a fluororesin dispersion serving as a binding agent are mixed in a weight ratio of 85:8:7 to obtain a negative mix. The negative mix is pressed into a pellet and molded, and then dired to obtain a negative electrode 5. A mixed solvent of a propylene carbonate and 1, 2-dimethoxyethane with LiClO4, LiBF4, LiCF3SO3, LiPF6, and LiN(CF3SO2) dissolved therein as solutes is used as the electrolyte. A separator 6 is made of a polypropylene nonwoven fabric. |
