PURPOSE:To display by reconfiguring an image in accordance with the viewpoint position of an observer based on multiple viewpoint images. CONSTITUTION:The correspondence of an image observed from the viewpoint position of the observer detected by a viewpoint detector 12 and the multiple viewpoint images is calculated by a picture element value generating part 117 based on the multiple viewpoint images stored in a data base 13, and the image can be reconfigured by an image generating part 18. After that, the distortion of the image is corrected by expanding/contracting the image based on distance between an object and a photographing viewpoint and the distance of the viewpoint of the observer from the photographing viewpoint. In such a way, the image in accordance with the viewpoint position can be displayed even when the viewpoint of the observer is moved. |
