OPTICAL DISK DRIVE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an optical disk drive device in which one detector serves as a high resolution bar code reader and also a track position sensor. CONSTITUTION:An information detector 14 is constituted from a light emitting element 14a irradiating a disk region in which a data section and a bar code section are formed and a photodetecting element 14b which detects the reflection from the disk surface irradiated with the light emitting element 14a. The detector 14 is installed on a fixing section 6 which is placed at a position opposing the disk surface to permit the track position and the bar code to be read using one and the same detector.
