A position-grasping device 10 is loaded on the vehicle 1, and the travel distance between the markers 3-a and 3-b is operated by the estimation travel distance operation means 12 of the position-grasping device 10. An error (ΔL), between the operation value (LA) and the measured distance L of the respective position markers, is operated by a travel distance error operation means 13, and the travel distance from the position marker 3-a is obtained based on the error and the present position of the vehicle 1 is grasped accurately.
