PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition having improved fracture characteristics and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is obtained by compounding a rubber component comprising a diene-based polymer which contains a polar group in the molecule and is synthesized by emulsion polymerization with an inorganic filler represented by the following general formula (I): mM1.xSiOy.zH2O [M1 is a metal selected from the group consisting of aluminum, magnesium, titanium and calcium or at least one kind selected from the these metal oxides or hydroxides and their hydrates; m, x, y and z are an integer of 1-5, an integer of 0-10, an integer of 2-5 and an integer of 0-10, respectively].
