PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the artificial ground having the damping function to an earthquake in the artificial ground having a structure for supporting a load of an artificial ground body by buoyancy generated by submerging a part of the artificial ground body and supports of both banks. SOLUTION: This artificial ground has a structure for supporting the load of a platform 1 by the buoyancy generated by submerging a part of the platform (the artificial ground body) 1 and the supports 2 of both banks. The inside of this platform 1 is divided and partitioned into plural parts in the horizontal direction by a partition wall 6, and a bottom part of the division is connected at least with every other piece by a communicating tube 7 to constitute one or continuous plural U-shaped ballast tanks 5.
