PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip for a fishing reel capable of winding a fishing line by applying a force without slip while holding with the one hand and having excellent operating efficiency, and a reel for fishing. SOLUTION: This grip for the fishing reel is an operating grip 5 designed to enable detachable mounting on an end of a rotation winding operation member 4. The member 4 is protrusively installed from a reel drum 3 winding the fishing line. The grip 5 is composed as a gripping part forming uneven notches 5a to 5h corresponding to gripping fingers when the grip 5 is hold with the one hand.
