<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode having a metal oxide film that is appropriate for applications for solar cells, or the like, has much amount of sensitized coloring matter adsorption, smoothly performs electron transfer, and has high mechanical strength, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The metal oxide electrode has a metal oxide layer in which a metal oxide particle is bound onto a conductive substrate by a binder, has 0.005 percentage by mass or higher and less than 5 percentage by mass binder content with the metal oxide film as a reference, while the pencil scratching surface strength of the metal oxide layer by JIS5600 is H or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
