PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system in which dedicated background image, that is especially prepared for an artist who is favored by an individual karaoke user, is effectively used during karaoke music playing in order to enhance the singing capability of the karaoke user. SOLUTION: The karaoke system is constituted by recording a singing evaluation history for every user's ID and extracting and displaying background video data specifically prepared and dedicated for the artist in place of normal background data having general applicability during the playing of the user of the karaoke music of the artist only when an arbitrary user sings a prescribed artist's music for a prescribed number of times or more with a prescribed evaluation point or more beforehand set.
