PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording control method which enables the accurate maintenance of recording precision even when changing the recording resolution, a recorder capable of realizing the recording control method, and a liquid jet device. SOLUTION: When the recording is carried out by ejecting ink to a recording medium from a recording head 121, a recording resolution is set, and then a gap between the recording head and the recording medium is automatically adjusted from the set recording resolution. As a result, even when cockling with different magnitude occurs on the recording medium because of the difference in the recording resolution, the ink can be ejected in the adequate gap, thereby maintaining the recording with high precision.
