PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building component using a photocatalyst, capable of sufficiently making the most of the purifying and deodorizing function of the photocatalyst, by sufficiently contacting with air. SOLUTION: At least a part of a door member 1 and a window member is formed of a light transmissive porous ceramic body 2 of applying paint blended with the photocatalyst 3. Since the air passes through clearance of the porous ceramic body 2 by opening-closing work of the door member 1 and the window member, more air can be purified by contacting with the photocatalyst 3.
