PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press felt hardly causing mark or defacement. SOLUTION: The papermaker's press felt includes a base fabric. The base fabric comprises a set of top machine direction (MD) yarns 41-42, a set of bottom MD yarns 51-56, and a set of cross machine direction (CMD) yarns 61 interwoven with the top MD yarns and the bottom MD yarns. The top MD yarns, the bottom MD yarns and the CMD yarns are interwoven in a series of repeat units in which each top MD yarn forms a long MD paper side float above certain consecutive ones of the set of the CMD yarns. The press felt further comprises at least one batt layer attached to the base fabric.
