PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tape for tailoring clothing, so designed that synthetic resin filament core material(s) having such mechanical plasticity as not to return to the original shape even after no external force action is(are) woven/knitted along longitudinal lines. SOLUTION: The tape is so designed that fibers are used as warps and wefts and one or more synthetic resin filament core materials having mechanical plasticity are woven/knitted in the warp direction. In the tape, the synthetic resin material is selected from polyethylene, its blend with another polyolefin, ethylene homopolymer and ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, and the mechanical plasticity is characterized by that a return angle after undergoing 90°bending is 30°or less.
