PURPOSE:To provide a device for surely removing thick coating parts without entailing contamination of a web and pass rollers by a suction treatment at the edges of a coating layer and without clogging suction pipes or clogging nozzle heads by lack of washing in coating of a thinner layer with the decreased amts. of thick coating. CONSTITUTION:The web 2 is coated with a liquid coating compsn. 1 and is kept to travel continuously. The liquid coating compsn. thickly applied to the thick coating film parts 3 at both edges in the transverse direction of the web is removed and treated by the suction nozzles 4. The suction nozzles 4 consist of double pipe structure. Ejection holes 5n of ejection pipes 7 for the washing liquid installed in the central axial parts of the double pipes are installed in plural pieces from the front end and pipe wall of a jetting pipe 7 toward the inside walls of the suction nozzles so that the washing liquid does not strike directly against the web 1, the liquid coating compsn. 2 and the thick coating film parts 3. |
