PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further facilitate information transmission with an occupant, in a communication device for a vehicle carrying out information transmission with the occupant. SOLUTION: A display portion 18 carrying out predetermined indication for communicating with the occupant is provided, and the display portion 18 can be rotated by a rotating portion 55 (a joint portion 22, a base portion 20, and a horizontal rotating motor 54). The movement of the display portion 18 is easily checked as compared with movement in a plane surface displace, so that gazing time can be shortened, or the movement can be checked only by diagonally seeing. There is reality as compared with plane movement, and it becomes easy to talk. Therefore, information transmission with the occupant is further facilitated as compared with a conventional one. The display portion 18 is fixed to an outer cylinder (a fixing portion) 42 fixed to a vehicle, through the rotating portion 55.
