Disclosed is a chimeric polypeptide comprising: i) a first modified growth hormone receptor binding domain of growth hormone wherein the modification is the addition, deletion or substitution of a least one amino acid residue; and ii) a second modified growth hormone receptor binding domain of growth hormone wherein the modification is the addition, deletion or substitution of at least one amino acid residue, characterized in that the binding domains are fused in tandem and the modification is to site 2 in at least one binding domain of growth hormone and wherein the polypeptide is an antagonist and the chimeric polypeptide does not include a growth hormone binding domain of growth hormone receptor.
