PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support device allowing a driver and the like to easily hear an alarm given based on detected information and music and the like from a portable music apparatus. SOLUTION: This operation support device 1 is provided with an alarm part 3 outputting an alarm sound signal based on the detected information, a speaker part 4 giving alarm sound by receiving the alarm sound signal from the alarm part, a transmission part 5 transmitting the alarm sound signal outputted from the alarm part as a signal complying with receipt by another onboard sound apparatus installed separately from the drive support device 1, and a control part 2 including a transmission destination selection function for selecting either of the speaker part and the transmission part as a destination of the alarm sound signal from the alarm part. Preferably, the operation support device 1 is also provided with an external sound input terminal 6, through which a sound source sound signal from the portable sound apparatus is inputted, and a transmission sound selection part 7 selecting one of sound source sound signals to be outputted from the transmission part.
