PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To authenticate validity on a radio input device of an information processor and its user regarding the information processor and an authentication method for the radio input device. SOLUTION: The information processor is composed of an information processing body part comprising a radio transmitting/receiving part, and the radio input device comprising an input part for carrying out input to the information processing body part, and a radio transmitting/receiving part for transmitting input signals. The radio input device comprises a memory to which identification information to be transmitted to the information processing body part at the start of operation is set. The information processing body part comprises a card reading part for reading a card which stores identification information of the user. The information processing body part is configured to collate identification information transmitted at the start of operation of the radio input device, with identification information of the card read at the card reading part upon receiving the identification information, and to input a signal from the radio input device if authentication succeeds, while inhibiting the input when the authentication fails.
