A sort of air pressure monitoring system of vehicle tire and identification method of vehicle tire, which system is composed by transmitter/detector module as well as receiver/display module; each tire sets one transmitter/detector module; the receiver/display module includes a receiver unit, a main control unit and a display unit, a plug-in type encode storage patching on the receiver/display module, each transmitter/detector module has one fixed ID code, and the fixed ID code coincides with the ID code in said encode storage. When starting up, the receiver/display module reads ID code from the plug-in type encode storage which inserts in each socket on the display module, and saves the information about the relation of the ID code and the identities of tires in storage. After having received information transmitted from the transmitter module, the ID codes are read therein, the ID codes are judged whether it coincides with ID code in the storage, if it is effective information, the identity corresponding relation information of tires is compared to judge transmitter/detector module of which tire transmitted the sign, and the pressure and temperature information would be shown at corresponding region.
