A slot type concurrent output signal generator is provided to output desired signals and patterns at the same time, by mounting various types of output terminals in a variable slot type so as to test all of display devices. A signal generator(100) includes a signal input part(120), a slot part(140), and a signal controller(110). The slot part(140) tests and outputs picture quality of a display device(400). The slot part(140) consists of plural slots. The signal controller(110) receives EDID(Extended Display Identification Data) transmitted from the display device(400) connected to the slots, reads source data stored in a memory(112) according to a setting condition inputted from the signal input part(120), and performs one or more of HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) mode, analog mode, digital TV mode, and analog TV mode. A multimedia player(200) is operated independently of the slot part(140) of the signal generator(100). The multimedia player tests the picture quality with moving picture multimedia data. The display device(400) is connected to the signal generator(100) and the multimedia player(200) to transmit EDID. The display device(400) is connected to one or more slots of the slop part(140) to output test result performed under control of the signal controller(110) or the multimedia player(200).
